2025 Bike / Hike It If You Can Weekend
July 3 @ 4:00 pm – July 6 @ 5:00 pm
Join us on July 4 weekend for our annual Bike-Hike weekend at White Plains Ski Club. We’ll arrive Thursday, July 3. On Friday morning we’ll head down to Warren for the 4th of July parade, a fantastical event with floats and banners all sorts of Americana.
On Friday night, we’ll picnic at Sugarbush for the fireworks. There could be a White Plains Ski Club initiative that evening, as I’m in conversation with the resort regarding an exhibit of an array our woven Mad Rivers Stars during the star-spangled event.
On Saturday, the hikers will head to Waterbury for Hunger Mountain, the hike we loved doing in 2024. It’s a five-hour hike, with a bit of scrambling near the top. A super fun hike. On Sunday, the hikers will head up Gen. Stark’s Mountain.
Cyclists will have their pick of rides – from the Gaps Ride up and down the App Gap and Middlebury Gap. There will be less rigorous rides from 15 to 45 miles in the Mad River Valley.
On Saturday night, we’ll dine on the deck at the Basebox.
We had such fun last year on July 4 and look forward to another fun time in July.
